Nellie is a fawn bitch out of Roy and Sweep

BILL & "NELLIE" LETTER.

Dear Jeff,
Just a little note to enclose a photo of our Nellie - she is doing fine - she's 13 weeks old now - weighs 20 lbs. and her coat is beginning to get thicker and she's growing fast. She's still got "beautiful eyes", as I write this letter there is a "major brush attack"-taking place, but we love her to bits.

She's full of confidence and very determined - she's also very steady and not a bit nervous, she is a very different dog than our "Hancock dogs"- Rosie our four year old lurcher is a strong and fast dog but she is hyperactive and nervous - she is our third dog off David Hancock. We've loved them all and enjoyed our time with them - so we are looking forward to our years ahead with Nellie.

She is very intelligent and quick but the main thing about her is she is becoming loving towards people - the vet said she has a lovely temperament and that matters to us as much as ability.

She is our pet first and foremost and then a hunter in her "spare time". She's off to the Lake District this weekend on her first shoot, we'll see what she makes of that - guns banging and birds flying all over the place! - Anyway Jeff, hope you like the photo, we'll send a progress report every so often - Bill said to tell you - FINISH THE BOOK - please - he's read your article in E.D.R.D. magazine - very interesting.

Kind Regards Sandra M.

Bill thanking Jeff for finding and advising him of a suitable pup from the Strains - Jeff thinks Bill went over the top with the size of transport needed!
